Within the project ARADEO TEATRO DEI LUOGHI, fostered by Cantieri Teatrali Koreja from Lecce, Apulia Region, Teatro Pubblico Pugliese, Municipality of Aradeo and The Lithuanian Embassy in Italy is foreseen an intensive workshop addressed to actors up to 35 years old aged.

The workshop will be directed by the Lithuanian Master Oskaras Korsunovas and it will be focused on The Lower Depths by Maxim Gorky. There will be work sessions both in the morning and in the afternoon and the presence of a translator from Lithuanian language to Italian will be guaranteed.

People who are interested in participating have to send a detailed c.v. written in Italian language, one picture and a short cover letter (20 lines at maximum).

The registration fee is 150 €.

The selection process of the candidates will be made by the direction of Cantieri Teatrali Koreja.

Oskaras Koršunovas, director

Born in 1969. In 1993 graduated Lithuanian Music Academy, theatre directing. His first performances, a trilogy based on works of Russian avantguardists Daniil Kharms and Aleksander Vvedensky explored total absurdity of being, automatism and inertia in relationships, fear and alienation. 

Gradually Oskaras Koršunovas turned to the analysis of the socio-cultural environment of his contemporaries. This was a new phenomenon in Lithuanian theatre of the time, which struggled to find its identity after radical social and political changes.

In 1999 the director together with other artists established an independent theatre -- Oskaras Koršunovas Theatre or OKT. 

Since 1990 Oskaras Koršunovas has staged almost thirty performances both, in Lithuanian theatres and theatres abroad.

In 2006 he received prestigious European Theatre Union award for New Theatre Reality.

He won the Lithuanian National Art and Culture prize, he was awarded with the Lithuanian theatre prize "Kristoforas" as the Best Director in the year 2000, and received The Golden Stage Cross award from the Ministry of Culture of Lithuania as the Best Director.
