How is close to our heart the relationship with real people and with the community of citizens it is shown by the 2014 edition of TEATRO DEI LUOGHI FEST and even more by theatre that we do every day and we propose with our shows, workshops, installations, tours, by meeting more and more distant and different peoples and cultures.
Our cities in the South have always shown the most beautiful face of inclusion and welcome, even if today contradictions, selfishness and separations pile up .
So the challenge of Lecce European Capital of culture for us is above all this. New relationships between artists (citizens), new ways of living and telling the cultural heritage of the city. Above all to give back sense to the noble function of theater and art in a society that wants us all numbers or consumers, at a time when our cities are crossed in an ever more profound by the life trajectories of people in transit.
TEATRO DEI LUOGHI want to be an opportunity to recreate the community, a way to find out different eyes through the direct participation of a community, a change of perspective in the relationship between the individual and places, between identification and belonging.
