The Theatre of the Places Fest comes back again. It comes back because Lecce needs to feed the encounter with people and among people. Indeed the key-word of the festival is meeting.
More than ever before, this year we met many new people at Koreja, especially young that make great sacrifices to cultivate their passion for the theatre, tired of those events that multiply solitudes, emptiness, frustrations and passivity. These young discover with the theatre a way to get to know the other, the different one from themselves and experiment the possibility to be that "other", to be elsewhere. Young and adults, many of them from Borgo Pace, will tell and show us their journey in close contact with more mature and consolidated artistic realities.
We will have a lot to learn from the immigrants that will participate to the contest Extra Lecce - telling the town revealing their secrets and the ones of the town they live in.
Because the aim of the project is just to create and strengthen the bonds among people, generations, places and artists. Bonds made of knowledge and experiences. It's a very important challenge to us.
This will be an edition without any public support, in complete self-management.
